Faith in Humanity

I’m trying to get these things set up along with my normal life and trying to get used to making these posts. I promise to try to do better and at least do one a week and eventually hit my goal of every other day.  One of my other goals is also to have several followers. I am happy for those that are following me, I truly appreciate that. I plan to reciprocate and follow your blogs and share your blogs to grow your database.

I know that these times are trying, and everyone deals with these things in their own way. I encountered someone the other day that had stated that they totally lost their faith in God. I have no idea what is going on in their life and what their “faith in God” actually is. But I just wanted to touch base on this. Whether your God is our Lord Jesus, Buddha, or something else. I’m not here to judge, I don’t care if you’re an atheist, if you’re a Christian, if you’re a Catholic, or Jewish, I have friends of many faiths. And I am not judging any of them. This is not a religion-based post, this is a post about humanity. As long as, people do right from wrong and try to live their life for the good of humanity, that is a common goal I hope for all.

I am here for you, to talk to.  I’m here by Messenger or email, you can reach me at any time. I will try to do my best to answer or chat with you within an 8-hour period. Usually it will be within one or two. If for any reason I will not be able to get back with you, there will be a message letting you know this.

I am a person that has had a lot of issues in my life that many deals with. I have an illness. I have terminal illness in my family.  I have helped people with anxiety, depression, addiction, divorce, Disability, and so much more.

Again, there are no judgments here! Just trying to help bring out the faith in you, your spouse, your friends, or whomever you believe in or do not believe in. I am only here to help, and I will do my very best to do so. This is not a religion-based post.

Please feel free to contact me if you feel down or you feel happy!  I am all for happy discussions as well.  I am also here to promote you, if you want to share your business with me, I will promote it on my site, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Whatever it may be, I will do it to the best of my ability.

We will get through it together.

Ways to boost your mood and help reduce pain.

Ways to Boost Endorphins

Endorphins are hormones that help in blocking pain and boosting mood.

Eat Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate contains phenylethylamine, which can boost endorphin levels, providing the mood-boosting effects.

A Good Laugh

Researchers have known for a long time that the simple act of laughing can boost your mood. When you laugh, your body releases endorphins.

Eat Hot Peppers or Something Spicy

Peppers contain capsaicin, that produces the spicy taste. Capsaicin can stimulate endorphins, which may temporarily relieve pain.

Get a Massage

Research performed at the TOUCH Research Institute found that a massage increases the level of dopamine and endorphins. A 15-minute massage may even increase serotonin levels, helping with depression and mood.

Sniff Vanilla or Lavender

Studies show that smelling Vanilla or Lavender can increase endorphins, and may increase your mood, reduce anxiety, and help insomnia.

Drink a Glass of Wine

Drinking alcoholic beverages can make you happy and increase endorphins. Drinking too much can have a depressant effect. So, to maximize the benefits, a single glass of wine is recommended.

Practice Meditation

Meditation helps relax the mind and body. Studies show meditation helps release serotonin and dopamine. It also boosts endorphins. This combination may offer pain relief and reduce depression or anxiety.

Get More Sunshine

Research shows that exposure to UV radiation can release endorphins.

Listen to Music

One study found that listening to music causes your brain to release the same hormones that are released when you eat your favorite foods or have a glass of wine.

Take a little ginseng

The herb has been shown to balance the release of stress hormones in the body and support the organs that produce these hormones.

Have Sex

Research shows that being touched reduces stress, as well as alleviating pain and helping to heal injuries, according to Stanford University. Taking time for those intimate moments also soothes us, uplifts us (due to the release of those mood-enhancing endorphins).

Perform a random act of kindness

You’ll feel happier and better about yourself when you do something nice for someone else, since acts of kindness trigger endorphin release.

Take a hot bath

The heat of the water can help relieve tension and pain in your muscles, but it can also trigger the release of endorphins into your blood.

Wine

Acupuncture

Do What Makes You Happy

Almost anything that brings pleasure can help boost endorphins.

What is COVID-19?

COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Some patients may have aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat or diarrhea. These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually. Some people become infected but don’t develop any symptoms and don’t feel unwell. Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease without needing special treatment. Around 1 out of every 6 people who gets COVID-19 becomes seriously ill and develops difficulty breathing. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes, are more likely to develop serious illness. People with fever, cough and difficulty breathing should seek medical attention.

What can I do to protect myself and prevent the spread of disease?

Protection measures for everyone

Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. Many countries around the world have seen cases of COVID-19 and several have seen outbreaks. Authorities in China and some other countries have succeeded in slowing or stopping their outbreaks. However, the situation is unpredictable so check regularly for the latest news.

You can reduce your chances of being infected or spreading COVID-19 by taking some simple precautions:

  • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.
  • Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Why? When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.
  • Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
    Why? Droplets spread virus.
  • Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
  • Keep up to date on the latest COVID-19 hotspots (cities or local areas where COVID-19 is spreading widely).

How long does the virus survive on surfaces?

It is not certain how long the virus that causes COVID-19 survives on surfaces, but it seems to behave like other coronaviruses. Studies suggest that coronaviruses (including preliminary information on the COVID-19 virus) may persist on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days. This may vary under different conditions (e.g. type of surface, temperature or humidity of the environment).

If you think a surface may be infected, clean it with simple disinfectant to kill the virus and protect yourself and others. Clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, or nose.

Medication Assistance

Today I was asked a question about how a person could get discounts on their medication. One of the places that I like to visit to is goodrx.com. You can receive a discount without creating an account. If you create an account, the site can store your meds for you.  You can print the coupon by clicking on the desired offer from your store and print it. You can also request a discount card that will send by postal mail. So, I visited GoodRx.com to give an example how this works and put my medication as Ambien for 45229 zip code listed out 11 pharmacies and programs for me to choose from.

GoodRx is a free service. They also have a Good Rx Gold you can join that membership for $5.99/month, GoodRx Gold membership provides exclusive access to low drug prices for individuals. For families, choose our $9.99/month plan and add up to 5 family members. The catch to this membership is in the fine print – GoodRx Gold does not provide savings at Publix, Sam’s Club, Walgreens or Walmart.

One of the other places that you can go to is the actual drug manufacturer’s that you’re looking up’s website. On that website they often have a coupon of sorts that you can use can fill out a form printed out take it to the pharmacy they’ll enter in the information and make double sure that you qualify. One of the medications that we’ve used this coupon for is Spiriva my husband gets Spiriva and we went to the website of Spiriva per doctor and filled out the form printed the form and took it in basically it was said that if you have commercial insurance click this button M we did he has insurance through a disability program through his union and when we got to the pharmacy they said I’m sorry this won’t work period one of the things that we found is that they don’t allow you to use any kind of a coupon through the manufacturer’s website if you do not have commercial insurance . It states if you have Medicare Medicaid or government insurance you cannot use the coupon Perry but one thing that we found on that website is it doesn’t offer any kind of a coupon for someone that has no insurance so that was a concern.
